This Was AMAZING!

For the past year all my mother-in-law has been asking for for Christmas, her birthday, mother's day, etc is to go see Wicked with all of her daughters. While it took a while for my father-in-law to follow through, he finally did; and, holy crap, was it worth the wait!!!
I think I was the only one of all 6 of my sister-in-laws and my mother-in-law who didn't know the music. I was excited to see it anyways, though.
It was SERIOUSLY fabulous! We all met in Los Angeles. (My father-in-law even flew 3 of my sister-in-laws there from Idaho and Arkansas.) We went to dinner and then went to the show. It so far exceeded my expectations! It was hysterical. It was sweet. It was romantic. It was about true friendship. The special effects were unreal. I can't say enough about it. Then everyone that was still in town came down today for the Easter Egg festivities. I seriously had such a blast and can't wait to see what my great mother-in-law will ask for next!!! :)

The Big Hunt!

Well, we're in Poway (San Diego) for the next little while. We got here on Tuesday late afternoon and have been busy settling in. Bryan has a rotation out here for school. [His last one, then 6 weeks in the clinic and then... (drum roll please) GRADUATION!!!!!!!] So, we'll be here until the end of April. I am REALLY excited to take some pictures out here. There are so many beautiful places I took for granted while I was growing up.
Anyways, today we had an Easter Egg hunt with Grace and Abby (they're here for Easter), Tristan and Tyler (Fabian and Kimber's little guys) and a few other little kids. The kids had a blast and we made sure we had PLENTY of eggs for everyone to find. My parents backyard was so perfect. Lots of good little hiding places.

Addi is still trying to get use to my parents again. She sees them a lot but is in the whole "I ONLY want Mommy and Daddy" stage. Hence the nasty look on her face in this picture below.
Aunt Noelle and Addilyn. (they were in Los Angeles for the weekend so came down for the day.)
She loved to shake the eggs and hear the candy rattle around.

Hiding the eggs. Papa's favortie thing to do... desides playing Santa, of course!
Mmmm.... candy....

This is the up-and-coming look. Aunt Natalie debuted it and then helped Carter pull it off.

More of the Tractor

I got momentarily obsessed with this tractor. Maybe it's because I have a little boy who LOVED it. Maybe it's because it had such character. Needless to say, it was SUPER dirty and a lot of it rubbed off on Carter. (note his face, not to mention his hands!)

Check out my photo blog

I just put some really cute pictures on my photo blog but I'm too lazy to put them on this blog too. However, they are some of the cutest ones I have taken (I know, humble, aren't I?) so check them out while you are surfing the blogging world. Click HERE if you want to see them.

The Padres and the Pooper

Last weekend my parents were in town. Those who know my family well know that we all grew up going to the Padre games. For a long time we had season tickets right down the third base line. Some of my favorite memories are of going to those games. So, last weekend we went to a spring training game. It was really fun... for the first 20 minutes.
...Then Carter decided that he needed to go to the bathroom. By the time Bryan got him there he had pooped his pants. And when I say pooped his pants, I mean POOPED his pants!! What a nightmare. This was his first accident in public, though. What a big boy!!!
So, one annoyed Daddy, a pair of little boy boxer briefs in a bathroom stall at the stadium, a $20 trip to Target, and a VERY smelly car later, we were back at the game to enjoy the rest of it. Over all, it was an enjoyable time. :)
Bryan was even a trooper and wore the Padres shirt my parents got him. Don't get me wrong, he sulked the whole way there about it but he wore it just the same.
Grace, Carter, and Abby getting ready to go to the game.

Gracie was a little tired toward the end of the game.
Bryan ripped the finger off of Ryan's Padres "#1" hand. This is how Ryan fixed it. :)

Above: Gracie showing her Padre Pride.
Below: Abby would cheer for either team. She'd clap and scream "woohoo!" no matter the play.

So Peaceful!

Don't these pictures look peaceful. Like a cute Daddy enjoying the sunset with his little boy and baby girl? Well, it's not so peaceful. Bryan was having to hold onto Carter because he was sitting on a big post up on our balcony. (Me, being the neurotic mommy that I am, was saying the whole time, "are you holding on tight, Bry?) And Addilyn isn't the lightest thing in the world, either. I was only able to get a few shots in before Carter got antsy and Addi got too heavy. Oh well. I really like the ones I got. :)

It's Ponytail Time!!!

There is a moment is every mother's life that they may or may not patiently wait for. This moment only comes if you have a little girl (although with the trends these days you never know...). I am happy to say that the moment came for me this past week. Although Bryan calls her Alfalfa, Addi is now sporting a little PONYTAIL!!! And when I say little I mean super small. But her hair is getting a little too long and wispy to work with headbands. And there isn't enough to pull it back with a bow, so, ponytails, here we come! I love it even though it looks a little silly. I'm her mom so I think everything on her looks cute. It's part of my job. :) So, enjoy the pictures of little Alfalfa!!

Boo!

I love this little video of Aunt Noelle and Aunt Naomi scaring Addilyn. I think this is a bit of a Mommy Moment but still.... cute!

Fun with the Aunties

Carter LOVES going over to the Wyeth's house because he has 3 wunts (and a Grammie and Granddad) that more than adore and spoil him. He will seriously cry if we don't get over there at LEAST once a week. (It's that annoying cry/whine thing.) From watching the video above you can tell why he loves going over there. Here is with with Aunt Noelle in the middle and Aunt Nellie bringing up the rear. Grammie was kind enough to video it while I gave them the push start.
