Easter Pictures

Often times I forget to take pictures of my own kids... annoying, right? That's the whole reason I got into photography. So, last week I went out with a friend and we took pictures of our kids in their Easter get-ups. I got a few cute ones. Carter's at a real cheesy stage and Addilyn is not into having her picture taken.

By the end...

Don't worry, I took them to McDonald's for ice cream afterwards.

The Big Hunts

The kids were completely spoiled this year by being able to take part in THREE Easter Egg Hunts. They, of course, had a blast and Addilyn caught on all too quickly. (When there's candy on the line, she learns fast.) Easter day was nice and relaxing. We decided that this in actually one religious holiday the world hasn't completely destroyed yet so Easter baskets were kept to a minimum. But they still got more candy than they needed.
Carter, Koen, and Addilyn having doughnuts and milk after the big hunt.
Carter got into a fight with a chocolate doughnut... and the doughnut won. You should have seen his clothes.
Cannon, Carter, and Koen. (two of his buddies from down the street.)

Don't worry, there were three eggs in the bush. Enough for her and Cannon to each get one.

JACKPOT!
No jelly bean left behind!Addilyn LOVED her Easter basket (from last year actually). She still carries it around like a purse.

Sweet Daddy

I know I have said this a million times, but my kids have the best Daddy around. I don't know how he juggles it all: a pregnant wife (that in itself...), a three year old who is ETERNALLY asking questions, Princess Addilyn, work, personal time (what's that?), church calling... somehow he manages. I hope he knows how much we all love him. The kids adore him and I can't get enough of him. He's seriously the BEST!
Oh, and I love everything about this picture. Addi's chubby hands, the lighting... everything.

Dang Sugar Cookies...

I'm not a huge fan of sugar cookies. BUT, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ones you buy from the store. You know, the really big ones that have all the icing on top. Yummy... I want some now. Anyways, apparently I'm not the only one who loves them. Every day we go play down the street with all the kids friends (and mine) and a few days ago Katie Budge brought out a big container of these cookies. Addilyn was SO excited. She quickly polished off hers, the finished Cannon's (he had only eaten one bite before losing interest), then ate the other 1/2 that Holly had deserted, then came walking up eating ANOTHER one... not sure where she got it. What a little piggie. I still can't figure out why she's such a chub. :)

The Wonderful Home Depot

Once a month Home Depot has a FREE craft for kids on a Saturday morning. Allow me to list the AWESOME things that come from this:
1. It's FREE. Who doesn't love that?!?!
2. It's on a Saturday and since Bryan works Saturdays. it's doubly cool because it helps the day go faster.
3. It's at Home Depot... which has the world's BEST smell EVER!! I CRAVE this smell. Mostly when I'm pregnant but I seriously LOVE it. I think they should make it into a candle. :) (As well as spray paint, gas, nail polish... you know, all those things that you shouldn't be inhaling while pregnant?)

Anyways, this month was the first time my kids went but we are going to be regulars! They made bird houses. We have plans to paint them but clearly haven't done so yet. The kids had a blast and Aunt Kelly wins cool points because she took them all while I was at a photo shoot! No wonder my kids love her so much.

T-Ball

He's working on it... one of these days he'll actaully consistantly hit the ball and not the stand. :) Something to work for, right?

More Play Time

I cannot get enough of outside right now. The weather is great and I love that the kids are old enough to kick outside when I want them gone for a few minutes. I'd be a liar if I said I've never thought about locking the door... :) Good thing they're so stinking cute!

Gotta Love Spring

I love spring time in Arizona... even as a pregnant lady. I just love the breeze, fresh air, PERFECT weather, my neighborhood, and WINTER LAWN! I'm so glad Bryan loves winter lawn as much as I do. I love the color of it, the texture of it, the smell of it right when it's freshly cut (Bryan got me onto that one)... it's just the best.
