The Ladybug

We had big plans this year for Preslee to be the bumble bee that Addilyn was two years ago... and then 1/2 of the constume ended up in Colorado... oops. Good thing Chelsea came through on Saturday afternoon with an old costume that she still had. Pres made the most adorable lady bug for our trunk-or-treat on October 30th. Today, however, for actual Halloween she
opted to dress up as "the cranky baby that wants nothing to do with Mommy, the lady bug costume, or Halloween in general." And, boy, did she ROCK that costume. :) I'm glad we got pictures yesterday while she was happy about her costume or I would have literally forced her to
wear it for a few pictures. She's definately our little spitfire. Gotta love that little lady bug!

Preslee decided that she preferred to wear the antennas around her neck like a necklace.

It's Really Happening

Bryan packed up and left this morning. I guess there's no backing out now. (I've said that to at least 10 things in the last two months.) I miss him already. He's so amazing and hopefully he won't figure that he's got less headaches and more free time without us. We miss you, Daddy!!

For what it's worth, I would NOT, I repeat N.O.T. recommend Budget... don't even get me started.

Go Dragons!!

Carter is playing soccer for the first time this year. I know... lame mom, huh? He's been in a sports class for a few years but I haven't done an actual sports team. He is LOVING soccer. He has such a blast and I'm glad he's getting to know some fun new friends (right before we move). His uniform is... bright...? But he loves it. The nice thing is I know we'll never lose it.

Not sure if he's shielding his eyes from the sun or his uniform. :)Go Dragons!

Cousins

One not super awesome thing about my way of thinking about photography is the fact that I don't just snap pictures. They have to be a pretty background, nicely composed, etc. Silly, right? I miss out on so many awesome photo ops because of my close-mindedness. So I am going to make it a goal to take ugly pictures every now and then. Pictures that even though the lighting isn't perfect and someone may end up slightly out of focus, pictures that I may have to point my flash directly at the person... I am just going to go with it. :) That lame excuse is the reason I don't have more pictures of all the cousins together from our trip to Vail last month. The kids have SO much fun together. (This is CLEARLY apparent from the volume level when they are all together.) Here are a few pictures of Ben's girls with Carter and Addilyn. Everyone else was already gone by the time I busted out the camera "just because". Good thing we will live by Mattalie and can take oodles and oodles of pictures of our kids causing all kinds of mischief together.

What are you? SHRINK WRAPPED?!?!

Name that Movie! Toy Story Two. (One of my personal faves.) While in Vail we ventured into uncharted Wyeth Territory.
It all started a few months ago while visiting my parents. Kelly had seen a YouTube thing where you put people in huge (preferably clear) garbage bags (we got ours at Home Depot) WITH THEIR HEADS OUT (Bryan Wyeth!!!), stick a vacuum hose in the bag, hold it shut at the top, and turn on the vacuum. What you see below is a sample of what happens. It is SO funny. We had tears running down our faces when doing it with my family so when we went to Vail with Bryan's family, we came prepared. It's a great time and cheap fun for a family get together. (We waited until the kids went to bed as to not give them any bad ideas.)
Natalie's face (below, far right) is my fave for sure!
Jess, you were a good sport for doing it. I know you didn't want to!! Way to be adventurous! ;)
Looks like Ben shaves his legs.

Yo Ho! Yo Ho!

I'm a bit slow on the whole blogging thing these days. I have been a busy little bee... vacationing in San Diego and then packing like a crazy woman the past few days. At the beginning of September we went to Vail with Bryan's family (as previously mentioned). One day my Mother-in-law planned a little treasure hunt for the kids at a really neat pirate park with a stream and HUGE pirate ship playground. It was complete with pirate outfits and a treasure map. Needless to say, the kids LOVED it.

Carter playing in the stream.
Preslee had a blast being pushed in the swing by Anamoni (Aunt Naomi).
Part of their treasure were bubbles.

Bradley and all his pirate piercings. Good thing Jessi loves him in spite of them. :) (Don't worry, they haven't already had a baby. This is Natalie's new little addition, Lacey.)
Arrrrrr, Matey!
Thanks for the awesome outing, Grammie!
