Jumping on the bed. Thank heavens he didn't fall off and break his head!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize the little things were the big things. ~Robert Brault

A Bit Defensive...
Bryan wants everyone to know that he was only playing around with Addi's hair. He KNEW it didn't look good. Defensive much? :)

Thank you, Daddy!
Bed Time
One of my favorite times of the day is bed time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE having the kids up but I also love having time to myself and time to spend with Bryan. Contrary to this last picture, Addi usually loves going to sleep. No matter how cranky she is when we are downstairs playing, the moment we start heading upstairs to bed she gets all giggly and smiley. I just loved these pictures and wanted to show everyone else how stinkin' cute she is. :) (In case you have missed the last million pictures I have posted of her.)

Tagged... again
This tag is different and I wouldn't normally do it but I love Annie Ruden, so I will.
10 years ago:
I was enjoying my first year away from home. That's all I will say about that and anyone that adds more detail will have details added about them on their blogs. (You know who you are!!!)
5 Things on my to-do list today: (since it's late right now I'll do it for tomorrow)
1. Take the kids to a little photo shoot that I am getting done for FREE by a photographer that I am totally obsessed with. I'll be taking tons of notes. :) (long story as to why it's free.)
2. Shower. ( I HAVE to have this on my to-do list because unless I exercise, it may or may not get done...)
3. Ask Bryan at least 3 times what he wants for dinner, hoping that each time will be a more simple meal.
4. Tell Carter to be gentle with his little sister. (or "stister" as he says)
5. Walk around aimlessly with my camera trying to find things to take pictures of for my photog class.
5 snacks I enjoy:
1. Ice cream!!!!!
2. chocolate
3. more ice cream
4. fresh fruit
5. Fiber One bars (not to keep me regular, guys. It's because they are healthy and fill you up.)
What would I do if I was suddenly a billionaire:
1. Hire someone to decorate my house. (and get rid of most of what I currently have.)
2. Get every last piece of photography equipment I could imagine.
3. Buy a beach house in Maine and decorate it from Pottery Barn.
4. Pay off our school loans.
5. Invest and diversify so I would have billions to leave to my super cute kids. :) (see dad, I HAVE learned something!)
6. Pay my tithing, of course!!
5 places I've lived:
1. Austin, TX
2. San Diego
3. New Zealand, of course!!!
4. Provo
5. Arizona (the weather is SO awesome right now!)
5 Jobs I've had:
1. Day Care
2. Taught 5th grade (SO SO SO much fun!!)
3. Nanny (YUCK!)
4. Waited tables/tended bar (yeah... not real good at that one since I knew what NOTHING was.)
5. The best job ever: Being a mommy
5 Things you don't know about me:
There is a reason you, as the reader, don't know these things so we are going to just leave it that way. Instead we'll name a few things you will NEVER know about me:
1. How much I weigh
2. Who my favorite sibling is.
3. Who my favorite sister-in-law is.
4. Which child I love more. (ok, I love them the same.)
5. A few things I did back in the day...
Now I am going to tag my sister-in-laws... all 6 of them. I will also tag Katie Brown, Katie Budge, and Bridget Carroll. Get to it, ladies!

Making the Bed
While Bryan and I were making the bed after having freshly washed sheets yesterday, we put Carter under the sheet and threw the sheet in the air like a parachute. Well, this was NOT okay with him. He's our little... conservative one. Addi on the other hand; well, she LOVED it. Laughing HYSTERICALLY the entire time. When Carter saw that his baby "sister" liked it he decided that it wasn't all that scary. They laughed and laughed together for a good 10 minutes before we finally kicked them out so we could finish the job. So cute!!
FHE: Modesty
For FHE last night we went over to Hill-wee and Runkin's house (Ry and Hill) to sit in the hot tub. This was very exciting since it has been too cold to swim for several months. (I know, those of us that live in AZ have NO room to talk but...)
Anyways, while I am one to teach our children of modesty, last night was not the time or the place. Who can resist a little girl in a triangle top bikini with chunky thighs and a big ol' belly?!?!? LOVE this suit!!!! This is one of the very few things in Addi's closet that I paid full price for. I got it when I first found out that she was a girl and I still love it just as much as that day. It's one of those things that I will never get rid of.

Happy Valentine's! (A little late)
For Family Home Evening last week we made some Valentine's Cookies for Grammie and Granddad (and our Aunties). Carter chose the shapes and then decorated them with candy that he had picked out at the store. We also made Valentine's Cards to take and send to all of our Grandparents and Great Grandparents. It was so much fun. It's so cool having a kid old enough to enjoy these kinds of things.

Spiraling
I am spiraling into a deep, dark depression. Why, you ask? Because one of my very favorite bands in the world broke up a few days ago. The Format is a band that Bryan introduced me to when we first met. They remind me of our dating days and early marriage. My love for The Format has only grown through the years as we have been to countless concerts. Don't get me wrong, they are totally E-mo goofballs who spend WAY too much time on their hair, but their music is so unique and cool. It just makes you want to sing along and be happy. I am still in a state of denial over their parting of ways and pray daily that they will get back together.
By the way, Snails is his dog... may she RIP.

He Really DOES Love Me!!
I have several weaknesses but one of the things I fall for EVERY year are candy hearts. I know, they aren't THAT great, right? I don't know what it is about the silly little things but I absolutely love them. I make sure I cut back in other areas and other meals so that I can have more than my fair share at the end of the day. So, this year for Valentines, Bryan bought 4 bags of candy hearts for me. Sweet, right? Well, it gets better! My FAVORITE candy hearts are the orange and yellow ones (especially yellow!!!). So, he went though all the bags and pulled out ALL the orange and yellow ones for me. That was my Valentine's present. I know it sounds silly to other people but I think not only is it the most thoughtful thing ever, but the tastiest, too!!!
By the way, we don't have a free night this week so we celebrated Valentines last night. :)

Sleepy Head
Last night I had babysitting co-op at my house. That just means I was watching 9 kids at my house while Bryan went and enjoyed the Suns game (COURT SIDE SEATS!!!) with my brother, Ryan. So, needless to say, my sanity was a little tested. Addilyn and two other kids needed to go down at the same time so I got her ready downstairs and threw her in her crib. About 20 minutes later I ran upstairs again (partially to escape the noise ) to check on all the sleeping babies. Addilyn was passed out, with her light STILL on because I had been in too much of a hurry to turn it off. She had pulled her little blankie over her face completely. It was so cute. (Don't worry, I moved it so she wouldn't sufficate. ) I know it's kind of hard to see where she is but the bunny at the bottom of the picture is on her tummy and her head is under the giraffe part of the blanket. You can see a little bit of her jammies.

Happy Almost Valentine's!
I'm not really one to buy my kids holiday shirts. (Mostly because we don't have the money to be spending on it.) But these ones I just loved. Those who know me well know that my favorite color on the male species is RED. I just love it!! It just pops on guys (MOST guys, anyways.) Carter is no exception. His "Future Heartbreaker" shirt looks SO cute on him. And since it was only $4 at Wally World I decided to splurge and get it. By the way, Carter got some awesome tats from Uncle Robby. He thinks they are stickers that stay on his skin. We let him wear two at a time. I LOVE them!!
Addilyn's shirt says "My heart belongs to Daddy." This is SO true. He walks in the room and her face just lights up. It is the cutest thing ever and seriously melts my heart every time. Her favortite chew toy? My camera lens cover... which she only gets to play with while I am snapping pictures of her. Don't worry, it gets a good scrubbing every time she plays with it.

My Jenny Wyett
The other night Carter and Addi were taking a bath together. (SO much fun!!) Carter started talking about how he loves "Jenny". Bryan looked a little confused and asked him, "You love Addi?" to which he replied no. He then asked Carter, "You love Abby?" and got another (annoyed) no. Carter, by this point frustrated, pointed at me and said, "I love Jenny. Jenny Wyett. MY Jenny Wyett." You know, I'll take it. I don't care that he didn't call me Mommy. If he ever wants to tell me he loves me I don't care how he says it. (We can thank the Ladies for him calling me Jenny.)
Then last night we were in the car running some errands when he started singing "Where is Thumkin" but he changed the words to "I love Jenny." It's times like these that I think, "How could I ever be angry with him. He's so sweet. But don't worry, he pulls be back to reality REAL fast. :)
