The Ladies LOVE LOVE LOVE Preslee. They (especially Abby) will sit and hold her until they are so hot they can hardly breath. (I'm sure I've mentioned that Pres is a little furnace. I think she's part warewolf.) Once they have cooled off, they'll head in for round two. I'm sure Preslee will adore them as much as they adore her once she realizes which way is up. I love those two little girls like they were my own.

The Museum
Last week a bunch of my friends and I took our kids to a little museum in Mesa. My mother-in-law was nice enough to go with me which was awesome because she totally entertained the kids while I followed along and had a pretty easy go of things. Plus, the kids would much rather hang with Grammie than boring old Mom. It really was a cool museum. There was a lot of really fun interactive things to do. My flash batteries pooped out on my when we first got there so the pictures are not the best but that's ok. It's the memories that count... right? :)
These chairs spun around and you could put the orange thing down to close it off. Too bad you couldn't lock it. ;)

Now Booking for the Holidays
I'm starting to book for the holidays. I will NOT be taking a lot on because I don't want to take too much time away from the kids so email me if you're interested. jenwyeth@gmail.com. Check out my website for my prices and everything. jenniferwyethphotography.com. Or just go over there if you're bored. You'll probably see people you know. :)

Last week was one of milestones at our house. Addilyn took it upon herself to decide she wanted to be putty trained. What that means is that she started taking off her diaper (including pooping in a port-a-crib and then stepping in it and getting VERY upset that she stepped in it), refusing to sit down if she was poopy, and telling us that she was poopy (that meant poopy or just wet) right away. Most parents would be thrilled with this. Yeah! No more diapers. Well, most parents don't have a 5 week old baby. So, off to Walmart we went and purchased Dora undies (what 2 year old girl can live without those?), princess and Tinkerbell stickers, and lots and lots and lots of juice and other drinks. We also picked up some Tootsie Rolls. (We use those to show Addliyn how her Dora doll can poop in the toilet like a big girl. :)) It went fairly smoothly considering it was potty training. It took her a few days to poop in the toilet but naps are successful. Nights are about 50/50. So, I think she's doing great considering she's only 2 years and 3 months old.... and considering the fact that I wasn't even thinking about it for another several months.
Preslee also had a great week last week. She started smiling!! I have yet to get it on film but it's a cute, open-mouthed, toothless grin. I love it! She smiled first for Bryan at 3am. It was his reward for being up with her when she refused to sleep. (Totally worth it!) The next day she smiled for me while a friend of mine was holding her. She was looking at me... does that count? I haven't seen the little smile since but she has smiled for Bryan several times. Just like her older siblings, she already prefers her father to her mother. Of course.
Isn't this the face of a girl who wants to be sitting on the little potty? She was really worried the first time she went potty on the little potty. (Obviously) But the "Dowa Pannies" made it all worth it.

A Few Pictures
Bryan brought to my attention today that I haven't posted for 2 weeks. (Not real sure what's stopping HIM from posting but whatever...). So, since I don't really have pictures to post right now from this week I'll post a few from a few weeks ago. Here's Preslee when she was 3 weeks old. Getting chunky already... although she still has chicken legs. :) This week has been an eventful one and as soon as I edit a few pictures I'll post them.

One Month Already?
I canNOT believe that Preslee is a month old. A MONTH OLD! (Actually yesterday she was a month but I didn't get to editing the pictures until now so we'll pretend...) She's seriously such a sweet little thing and I feel like I am starting to get a hang of this whole three kids thing. Slowly getting the hang of it... slowly... like super slowly. I wanted to post a few of the things we have learned about our little one in her first month of life:
- She's a happy baby.
- When she cries, she goes from 0-60 in a split second.
- She snorts like no body's business.
- In true princess fashion, she loves to be held.
- Her biggest fan is Addilyn, who is constantly trying to hug her and is singing her "Twinkle Star" non-stop.
- She's not too big on smiling yet, much to her mother's dismay. (We're working on it.)
- She puts off incredible amounts of body heat so that whoever is holding her is sweating in seconds.
- She has enough gas to fill a hot air balloon.
- She has been sleeping in minimum of 4 hour blocks at night since the day we brought her home. (WOO HOO!!)
- She still gags on her pacifier.
- If she knew the alphabet she could easily burp it. And they stink!
- She loves to stretch out. She will occasionally hang out in the fetal position but more often than not, she has her long skinny legs out as far as they'll go. She's been like that since I was about 7 months pregnant with her. It was SUPER comfy. :)
- She melts our hearts every time we look at her.
We are so lucky to have our little Preslee. Our family already would feel so incomplete without her. We love you, Preslee!
And... we're done with pictures, apparently...
Snack Time
As a new mommy once again, I have to often get the older two kids occupied doing something else so I can feed Preslee. Addilyn LOVES LOVES LOVES to "col" or color. The other day I was feeding Preslee on the couch and Addilyn came over to me looking like:
You may have to take a good look but there is marker ALL OVER her mouth. And, for those wondering, all over her lips, tongue and teeth.

Don't mind the Medusa hair. I am trying to leave it down so it will grow better. (The rubber bands break it. I usually do it- not this particular day- and leave it down but by noon it looks like she lost a fight with the light socket. Why bother?)
At least she stuck with yellow (and blue). She's really into things matching... maybe that's why? Apparently she was... hungry...? And decided to see if the markers tasted good or not. I'm thinking she thinks they were quite delightful since she has done this as least twice since then. And she's partial to blue. I don't know if it's because it's one of her favorite colors or if it just tastes better than the other colors. I'm surely not going to taste them to find out. I love this little stinker!
