Jolly Ol' Saint Nick

On Tuesday we went and visited Santa Claus. It was great because there were NO lines! (One nice thing about Bryan having a random day in the middle of the week off.) Anyways, Carter was BEYOND excited to sit on Santa's lap. He was shy but told Santa that he wants a race car for Christmas... (oops.) Addi on the other hand... not so excited. Would not get NEAR the jolly fellow. Oh well, maybe next year.
Bryan was telling Carter a few weeks ago about how Santa brings you coal if you're naughty. Carter thought for a second and said, "What's coal? Garbage?" Stifling a laugh, Bryan told him that was exactly what it was. Now whenever Carter is being unreasonable we kindly remind him that Santa is watching, to which Carter will reply (and I don't want him to bring me garbage." LOVE that kid!

The closest we could get her to him.

Santa gave all the kids books. Carter loved it.

I love the pictures! I love to watch how other kids react to Santa. It warms my heart to hear what they tell him.

Glad to know my kid wasn't the only one who was leery of Santa. Your kids are just darling.

Jen - your kids are of course adorable but I had to comment on your blog because I saw your mom at Costco yesterday (I see her at institute but a skirt does not reveal as much) she looked FABULOUS. I swear she looks like your sister now. She is such a stunner. I told her I was worried that she was the incredible shrinking woman and she was going to disappear. Make sure she eats just a few calories over Christmas so we keep her around for a long while to come!
