What a Big Boy!

We are starting to practice praying with Carter. He is awesome about always folding his arms. He will even squint his eyes for parts of the prayers. Now we will say a phrase and he will repeat the last word of it. So, if we say, “Please bless Uncle Bradley” he would just say, “Badley”. Sometimes he will mumble for about as long as the phrase is and then say the last word. Anyways, it’s really cute.
Because I am having a little girl in only 5 weeks we decided that it is time to start on a PINK nursery. So, Carter has made the jump to his big boy bed, which comes up to his chin. He can’t get on it by himself so we got him a stool. He STILL can’t get on it even when using the stool. We also got him a bed rail so he won’t fall out. He’s so stinking little in the bed. It’s crazy because he was huge in the crib. Anyways, he doesn’t know that he can get out of the bed on his own. So, when he wakes up in the morning or after his nap he will sit there and play for a while. Once he’s bored (which is usually about the time he throws Puppy and his blanket over the edge) he starts to yell “Mommy” or “Daddy” (being sure to elongate the vowels, of course) until we come and get him. I’m sure it’s torture for him to sit in his bed and not be able to play with all his toys which he can totally see from there. Man, he’s a cute kid.

I Can Hardly Wait!

I went to the doctor yesterday and he agreed to induce me on June 1st. That's Uncle Cory's birthday and Matt and Natalie's anniversary. Unfortunately, I am sure I won't have her on the first. Since it took Carter 41 hours to make his big arrival I am banking on at least 36 for Addilyn. Still, at least this time I know what to expect. My parents are so awesome. They are going to come out and stay for a while until I get adjusted... well, I don't know how long getting adjusted will take but my mom is coming for almost 2 weeks.
Carter is so funny. He is in his room right now banging away on his little piano thing and singing. Unfortunately for him, I think he got my singing skills. But at least he's cute (or "tute" as he says) when he sings. Me...? Not so much.
Bryan only has a few more weeks of school. I seriously can't wait for him to be done for the month of June. And then he will be a D4. I can't believe how fast this whole dental school thing has gone. At the same time, making money seems so very foreign to me. I don't know what I will do when I can spend $10 without calling Bryan to make sure he's okay with it. Hopefully this next year will go as fast as the past 3. :)

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

I know these two animals looke like ones you would find at the zoo but it's actually Grace in the frog and Abby in the monkey after swimming at the Wyeth's house. They LOVE swimming!!
On Friday, Grammie took Carter, Evelyn, and me to the Zoo. It was a great chance for Jess to catch up on MUCH needed rest. It was seriously so much fun. The car ride there was filled with fake sneezes upon fake sneezes. Not to mention the giggling! They were hysterical.
When we got to the zoo we went on the train ride. Carter made sure there were plenty of "choo choo" noises for all to hear. He also said hi and bye to all the different animals we saw. He roared at the lions and tigers, chirped at all the birds, and asked me what EVERY little thing was. We also went into the petting zoo which consisted only of goats. Carter couldn't get over them. I think because we have Violet, he wasn't really scared of them... although he did point at several and say "Bliolet?" or "Nana?". He would even go tickle them. Man, those animals are long suffering. Evelyn was a little more timid of them but she got braver the longer we were in there. It was amazing to see them get so excited over such little things. They had a blast! Thanks, Grammie!

Visiting with the Cousins

(Evelyn, Grace, Abby, and Carter relazing in the pool.)

This past week Ben and Jessica came down with Evelyn and baby Hannah. While Ben had to leave after only the weekend, Jess stayed with the girls for a few extra days. It was so much fun watching the kids play together and get to know each other a little better. This was the first time they have both been old enough to actually "play". Every time we would get to the Wyeth's and the front door would open, Carter would immediately yell "Ebelyn"! It was so darling. They played on the slip-n-slide, played kitchen (Evie would serve Carter all kinds of "food"), harrassed Nana, and jumped on the trampoline. It's so awesome that even though they rarely see each other that they still love each other. Product of being cousins, I guess.

Easter 2007

This picture of Carter with his mouth open is him showing us his yummy jelly beans. No idea how many are actually in there. Probably at least 5. :)

This Easter was SO much fun with Carter. It was the first year that he acctually kind of got it. I am sure next year will be a lot more fun! We went on an Easter egg hunt Saturday morning with Grace and Abby. Then we headed over to Grammie and Grandad's for another Easter Party. This one was with the WHOLE Christensen clan. He got to enjoy another Easter egg hunt.
Thanks heavens the hunt went better than the decorating of the eggs. Kel and I tried to color eggs with the kids. Carter was quickly fired and colored in a coloring book instead. He's still a little too rough with the eggs. The Ladies did pretty well though. They only broke a few and got SO excited when they took them out of the dye. All in all, it was an awesome Easter. Carter had more candy in that 24 hour period than he has had in his entire life. He quickly learned what's inside those little plastic eggs and that he doesn't like the black jelly beans as much as the other colors. He's so much FUN!

Introducing Addilyn Saige

A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to go down to Tucson for a 3-D ultrasound. Unfortunately the umbilical cord was covering up Addi's face, which distorted the view a little, but boy is she cute already. :) It was neat to see her moving around, moving her hands, opening and closing her mouth...It made her upcoming arrival seem so much more real.

If you look closely, you can see her arm curled up over her face with the rest of her body in fetal position. Her foot is on the right hand side about half way up the picture.

Our Trip to San Diego

We took a trip to San Diego to be able to be there when Kevin blessed little Joshua. It was a fun trip. As you can tell, Bryan was a little tired when we got there. When I left the room we were staying in, he was playing with Carter under the bed. I went back to check on him after about 10 minutes only to find Carter wandering around the attached room. When I went to find Bryan, there he was, out cold under the bed. Too cute! He needed the rest. Carter got to go swimming at Nona and Papa's house a lot while we were there. It was too cold for the pool but the hot tub was perfect. He and Daddy played and he even went under water a few times!

Natalie and I are getting closer to our due dates. This is me when I am 30 weeks along and her when she is 20 weeks. She just found out that she is having a boy, Kaleb Matthew. As you can see from Bradley's chart behind us, he's getting a little closer to fninishing up his mission... but I bet both of these little ones will be walking by the time he gets home. Wow... time flies!
