A few weeks ago I decided to start a photo blog. I take a lot of pictures that no one really cares to see, so I am starting a photo blog. I will also put pictures that I take of other people on there. This semester I am taking a class from Wendy Schulz who is a very talented photographer. She is another reason I am starting this other blog. I am excited to see the improvement over the next several months. It has only been up and going for a week and I have already noticed a difference and learned a ton.
So, on a rainy day, feel free to check it out. Don't get your hopes up too high though... and PLEASE remember that I AM A BEGINNER!!!! Here is the blog.
I have also decided to really start taking pictures for people... you know... making them pay me. :) I have had enough people ask and I feel confident enough that I know I can get some good shots.... but, again: BEGINNER!!!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize the little things were the big things. ~Robert Brault

Out of the Mouths of Babes

Many of you know my darling little nieces, Grace and Abby. They are Kelly's twin 3 1/2 year old girls. Anyways, the other day they were over and everyone was having a potty break. Bryan was kind enough to take care of. Normally when it's Kel or me doing it Carter leaves while the girls go and the Ladies leave while Carter goes. Not so, with Bryan in charge. When Carter was done Bryan told him to "shake it off"... you know... shake it off...? So, fast forward a few hours to when Papa is going into use the bathroom. The kids were following him around as they always do when he is visiting. They asked if they could come in the bathroom with him. (As all of us Mommy's know, not even using the restroom is sacred.) He, of course said no and told them to go and play. As he's shutting the door Abby yells, "Don't forget to shake it off, Papa!" Gotta love it!!

Devil Child
How does a child go from this:
to this:
in a matter of 1/2 a second. Seriously, that first picture scared me. Every time I look at it it cracks me up! She wasn't mad or anything. The camera just clicked at a crazy moment, I guess. By the way, I didn't change her eye color at all. Her wyes are really that blue. (where my children got their blue eyes is beyond me. Bryan and I both have grandpas with blue eyes but that's really it...)

What a CUTIE!!!
I took a few pictures of my completely adorable nephew, Tag, today. He was just playing in the sand (which he has decided he doesn't like). Even though he wasn't really digging the camera I still got a few cute pictures of him. These pictures are not photo shopped at all. Tag really is THAT cute. I have 2 other nephews that are just as cute. Maybe I can get some shots of them sometime, as well. :)
By the way, this mini stud muffin is Ryan and Hillary's little guy. As if I even needed to mention that... he couldn't deny Ryan if his life depended on it. His personality is as cute as his face.

Santa Clause is Coming to Town!
One of the few times I actually got Carter to smile for me. I think he was just extra excited to go to "Santa's House" and forgot that he prefers to ignore the camera.
Here they are with the REAL Santa!
This is the look I normally get when I tell him to smile. He was busy watching the toy trains and was annoyed that I made him stop. Whatever.
Carter was kind enough to SHOW us his cookie that Santa gave him. Yummy!

Here they are with the REAL Santa!
Last night for Family Home Evening we went and visited Santa Clause. It was so much fun. We waited in line for about an hour. (He's a busy guy.) Thank heavens we got to sit on his lap right before his break or we would have been waiting another 30 minutes! Carter wasn't scared of him at all which really surprised us. When we asked Carter what he wanted from Santa he said "a yellow"... not real sure... maybe Santa will bring him something yellow. (He's actually bringing him something black but we can pretend...)
Santa gave us a coupon for a free cookie. Addi REALLY wanted to try some. So, Daddy, being the sucker that he is, gave her a little taste. I wish I had gotten a picture of her face right after she tried it.... kind of a "lemon face". I guess it tastes strange when all you are use to is formula and pureed veggies.

What Cute Kids!!!

My wonderful in-laws were nice enough to get family pictures taken over Thanksgiving week. Jamie Hammond took the pictures. Here are a few of my favorites...

Hannah, Evelyn, Blake, Carter, and Addilyn. These are all of the grandkids on the Wyeth side. Evelyn and Hannah are Ben and Jessica's and Blake is Natalie and Matt's.
