Better Late Than Never

Christmas morning this year was absolutely wonderful. Carter actually "got it" and we were able to start some fun traditions. One of the traditions is one that Bryan grew up with. Every year his family would put up a sheet so the kids couldn't see what Santa had brought. So, we decided to do the same. Carter came and got us when he got up (at 7:30- YEAH!) and as soon as Addilyn woke up we went around the sheet and down the stairs to the wonderful gifts that awaited them. They had a blast opening gifts. They were even kind enough to help us open ours. :)

Addilyn got me bracelets for Christmas... not a shocker since she LOVES wearing and breaking my bracelets. In the picture above you can see that she was already loving them while opening her present.

And the girl presents begin. This was the first time she really got "girlie" presents. But Carter likes to put his trains and cars in the stroller and go tearing around the house, too.

Carter thinks that every present under the tree was from Santa... in a way, he's right. :)

Bryan's favorite present.

This was the kids Santa present. It's more for the whole neighborhood. It is out EVERY day and we... I mean, Santa, has already gotten his money's worth out of it. Addi LOVES to cruise around in it. Carter is quite the driver. Let's just say he won't be getting his licence until there are some SERIOUS lessons taken. WOW! NO ONE is safe when that kid's behind the wheel.

It was fun seeing you yesterday! Where did you get the little pink kitchen? It almost looks like the Pottery Barn ones I love.

OH MY GOSH do you wanna know a secret--my dream car is a cadillac escalade but the white pearly one. Seriously. So jealous of your kids right now.

Also, the banister in the first pic totally reminds me of your mom aka Festive mcgee. Love that you are carrying on the tradish.
